Cleveland Browns re-sign quarterback Josh Dobbs

On Monday, the Cleveland Browns announced they had signed quarterback Josh Dobbs to a one-year, $2 million contract. Booth previously wore a Cleveland Browns jersey as Jacoby Brissett's backup through the 2022 season, starting 11 games before being replaced by Mond. While the starting quarterback spot is solid for the Cleveland Browns right now, having a solid backup in the event of an injury or other unforeseen situation is critical.Cleveland Browns Trikot 2023

With Ryan Tannehill injured, Dobbs was pushed into the starting lineup instead of then-rookie Malik Willis. Although the Titans have lost both of Dobbs' starts -- to the Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars -- he has spoken well of himself. He threw for 411 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. While not eye-popping numbers, Dobbs' performance did inject some life into a Titans offense that had been stagnant.

Dobbs signed a one-year deal with the Browns last April, in which he served as Jacoby Brissett's backup quarterback until Nov. 28 when Deshaun Watson was suspended. After returning to the team, he was waived. Watson missed 11 games last season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

With Dobbs now on the Browns, it remains to be seen how well he will fare as a backup quarterback. Still, his experience and ability as a starter will be invaluable to the Browns.Kinder NFL Trikot
